Time To Plan A Retreat Or Getaway

Although the Mister and I have been back in Ohio since January 2014, we've been in our condo lake house. This is our first winter to do all the outdoor work ourselves. Slowly things have been getting put away and set up for the cold weather. Things like drafty exterior doors, crawl spaces covered, checking the propane tank, garden hoses, outside water shut off, porch swings up, you get the idea.

Luckily I have a few friends and family here to help with some of that. I planned to finish most of it today, but it decided to rain like cats and dogs for two days. By next week, we should be ready for the "white stuff". (dirty S word not allowed here, YET)

Thoughts for the inn this winter.

We'd like you to plan on having a small retreat or mini getaway. Maybe a book club retreat, knitting retreat, a coffee lovers retreat, fishing excursion, all while staying with us at the Inn. I've recently finished a living room type area upstairs. Now you and your group can relax and work together on things outside of your sleeping rooms.

There are things to do locally, and there is ALWAYS a reason to slow down and enjoy time away from the daily grind of life. We'd love to keep guests coming in to stay over the winter. I'll be sending out an email or newsletter to all our previous guests as well as publishing something on Facebook to promote the idea.

Winter rates are pretty amazing and we've got lots of openings on the calendar. If you'd like to host a retreat with your friends or loved ones give us a call, leave a comment here or on our Facebook page and I'll give you a call. I'll do my best to accommodate and plan something with you to ensure your stay was just what you needed.

Remember you can make a reservation via our AIRBNB Rm 1 or Rm 1 account or call me direct to save a few dollars on AIRBNB fees.

A big farmhouse hug,
Liz
