The Throws Of Winter

Winter is definitely upon us now. I find myself cooking hearty meals and snuggling in blankets and throws more and more. Our guests are still arriving albeit much slower than summer months, and we are starting to get bookings for the spring and summer months already. (yippee)

Recently, a fellow blogger who is into birding, butterflies, photography, and travel booked a stay with us for this coming May. Give her blog BethsPCGallery.blogspot.com a visit. She enjoys many of the same past times as me and Gary. I'm looking forward to her stay here with us this spring. What brings her here all the way from Cape May, NJ you might ask?

Spring and summer brings many a bird, and bird watcher to our area. The Biggest Week in American Birding takes place right here in Northwest Ohio, May 5 -14, 2017. The Inn is only a few minutes away from Magee Marsh. The event takes place there. During the first 2 weeks of May at least 30 species of Warblers visit the marsh area, including Vireos. Magee Marsh is a must see for any bird enthusiast. A side note, Magee Marsh has a wonderful handicap accessible boardwalk. It's great for folks like my Mister who travels in a power wheelchair. Birding is a great adventure for him. We have several feeders set up at home for him to gaze at birds, and we've been to Magee several times.

We have two rooms right now, and hopefully an additional room, and an adorable Retro style camper available this spring as well. Stay tuned here for more information on that!
