May Happenings

Welcome May flowers, and May friends!

This is a busy month for the Inn. I start by bringing down the porch swings and getting all the outdoor furniture placed on the porch and deck. Once the swings are down, I feel so happy. I jump right into one and start swinging. It's so relaxing.

Of course, the lawn mower gets started too. This year with all the rain, I've been mowing since mid-April. I'm a die hard push mower gal. A half acre is just enough grass to mow for sure! Last year in the Fall I planted grass seed in the front and it looks pretty darn nice now. Compared to last year.

Right now we have hundreds of "birders" who have flocked to the area for The Biggest Bird Week In America.

I've had two sets of guests already with one more checking in this week. I'm told this year's birds have been slower to arrive due to cooler temps, north winds, and rain. Hopefully, this week will have more birds flying in. My two-week guest is not only a birder, she loves butterflies too. She shoots amazing pictures and writes about them on her blog, Beach Girl
If you have time stop over there and check out her amazing work.

She and I went on a mini-birding trip on my golf cart yesterday and I enjoyed seeing my first Yellow Warbler, (Life Bird #1 in bird speak) and lots of other birds.

So as you can tell May is off to a great start and our summer is filling up quickly. We hope to see more and more of our previous guests returning and we hope to meet many more new and lovely guest this year as well. BE sure to use our Book Now Tab to make your reservations today.

May all who enter as guests leave as friends. Have a great day.
